
2008 F1 Chiese Grand Prix opens its glorious face by a stunning performance of Haibao,the mascot of Expo 2010 Shanghai on the afternoon October the 19,2008. Elements of Expo have played a vital role and become the spotlight in Shanghai International Circuit (SIC).With the broadcasting of F1 , Shanghai presents the world a bright card of Expo 2010.
Cameras coversevery moment of racing cars .This time ,audience can enjoy and watch the exciting race as well as the elaborately decorated Expo spectacle.On eleven grandstands there covered landscape of letters and numbers of "E X P O 2 0 1 0"together with the emblem of Bureau of International Exhibition ,Shanghai Expo logo and mascot Haibao .Each letter covered about 880 square meters and near 10000 square meters in all,set off by the green plants.
Bernie Ecclestone,the president and CEO of Formula One Management and Formula One Administration,understands how important Expo 2010 is to Shanghai,thus giving absolute support and approving promotion of Expo 2010 Shanghai to the whole world through F1 race which is exceptional.On October 16 ,Bernie examined the preparation of SIC and gave some advice about expanding the covering of green plants to underline the landscape of "EXPO2010" which come from his rich experience in operating F1.The giant sign of "Expo2010" was on the screen about 36 times as the qualifying broadcast to the the whole world on October 18,giving the audience around the world a deep impression.
To promote events in 2010, Shanghai Expo organizers cooperate with Juss Event Company in many aspects,including having designed a variety of sights about Expo 2010 Shanghai besides the giant sign on grandstands.Three vivid statues of Expo mascot Haibaocovered 120 square meters and landed at the entrance to the Shanghai track in Water-scene Plaza welcome spectators,which presents a warmer and more joyous atmosphere accompanied by the red lanterns.
An exhibition at the first floor of grandstand A displays the name,theme and some other elements of World Expo as well as pictures of several dramatic Expo structures and the master plan of the event. On the third floor of grandstand A ,Expo flags such as "Better city,better life"can be seen throughout the stands.Moreover,in the VIP room,spectators can watch a film taking them on a virtual journey through the Expo site.
According to the agreement signed by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Shanghai Juss Event Management Co Ltd on October 14, 2008, both sides will take full advantage of the platform of international races like F1 Grand Prix and Tennis MastersCup to promote and popularize the Shanghai Expo which will last 3 years till the holding period of Shanghai Expo in 2010.
F1 is one of the world’s three major sporting events,together with the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup, Now every F1 event has been live through 184 broadcasting companies around the world, with 600 million audiences each stand in stable ,including over 100 million from China.Meanwhile,Tennis Masters Cup as the highest level gala in tennis draws 400 million viewers,providing excellent platforms for Expo promotion.
